This site along Palo Seco Creek near the Palos Colorados Trailhead at the end of Joaquin Miller Court is one of our adoptable sites in the watershed.
Flowing mostly through Joaquin Miller Park, Palo Seco Creek is the least urbanized of the Sausal Creek tributaries, and it is the only Sausal Creek tributary in the Oakland hills where rainbow trout have been regularly observed. As such, Palo Seco Creek provides cold, clean, well-oxygenated water to downstream reaches of Sausal Creek that also support wild rainbow trout.
