Our Mission:

Formed in 1996, the Friends recognize that citizen participation—from residents to decision-makers, teachers, and students—is critical to protect the Sausal Creek Watershed as a natural resource.

We conserve, restore, and enhance the Sausal Creek Watershed by educating future generations, involving the community in environmental stewardship, and collaborating with agencies and nonprofits. We support Oakland's biodiversity and are working toward a climate-resilient future.
