Our Mission:

Formed in 1996, the Friends recognize that citizen participation—from residents to decision-makers, teachers, and students—is critical to protect the Sausal Creek Watershed as a natural resource.

We conserve, restore, and enhance the watershed by educating future generations, involving the community in environmental stewardship, and collaborating with agencies and nonprofits to support Oakland’s diverse ecosystems and promote a climate-resilient future.
